Board announcements:
Premier Fitness is offering all HVBA members club membership for $32 a month with no initiation fee.
Board members pay only $20 per month because considered city volunteers
Dec. 7th 10am public meeting for tourism to determine how $20,000 tourism funds will be spent
30 Christmas trees are being donated to the city. they will be sold at the tree lighting for $10 each.
The HVBA and the youth council have the opportunity to raise funds by selling an additional 200 trees
Steve will talk with the youth council about getting 4 volunteers to help on the 1st 2 weekends of Dec. from 10-4 at city hall.
Optimization of website:
Currently spending $100 a month for updating member profiles
Eirk is checking with Deisel to see if it includes Search Engine Optimization(SEO)
He will ask for a bid to increase our SEO with a $300 monthly budget in mind. Consider a 3 month test period.
Check with Gary to determine budget line for SEO
Steve would like to consider getting an ap for the HVBA or City of Happy Valley. David will talk with his brother about costs and Erik will also get a bid.
Put David as the admin on the website because he has a immediate access with his phone for any new member requests
Put the HVBA meeting on the Events calendar in the Clackamas Review.
Directory
Talk to each of the county offices about buying an ad in the 2012-2013 directory. (parks, aquatic park, fire department)
Let Micaela know about asking the parks dept and the aquatic park.
Joe Loomis would like an ad for the parks department about field rentals. Works out of the Hood View office.
New member outreach. Steve will have fliers made up for us to had out to local businesses for next Nov. meeting.
Hit the business up and down Sunnyside Road about meeting.
Sushi Moto - opening this Friday
Treasure Hunt presented by Bruce
Idea to bring traffic to local businesses with a grand prize at the end.
Bruce will talk to general membership about the idea at the meeting.
Look at calendar to determine what month. Possibly this spring.
Business after hours:
Chamber/HVBA group meeting possibly with Providence for March.
Check into location and budget
Erik will provide board with a complete list of members. Bruce needs to be added as admin. so he will be able to access information.
Erik is a voting member as Technology lead.
Check bylaws to see how many board members we can have.
Current Bank Balance: $7686.25
